Court records are documents generated during legal proceedings, such as criminal case files, bankruptcy records, and records from family or probate court. They contain information about these legal proceedings, including names of the parties involved, dates of hearings, testimony and evidence, and rulings in cases. Court records are kept in office for a period of time and then disposed of or archived. Most are considered public records, though some information may be redacted when copies are provided to the public. In some cases, court records may be sealed and require a court order to access, but many others can be accessed easily online. The current Clerk of Courts in Fulton County, Georgia is Ché Alexander.

Court records from Fulton County may be searched using a state-wide database, in which some, but not all, Georgia counties participate. This search portal is oriented towards attorneys, but may be used to identify case numbers or details that can be helpful in making records requests. A free trial of the service is available.

Requests for copies of Fulton County court records may be made online. The Office uses eCertification services to generate tamper-proof and certified copies of Court and Real Estate Records which can be obtained from anywhere a requester has internet access. An account must be made to submit a request. Once logged in, those seeking copies of court records should click “Submit a New Request” and then provide the county where the record is located and the document type. Payment authorization is required in advance. When the request is processed, an email is sent containing an authentication link to the record.
